How to choose your con-tatto® insulated bottle

Every con-tatto® bottle in this collection shares the same body, the same insulation and the same 500 ml capacity. What changes is the colour mix and the finish. So the question is less "which bottle performs best?" and more "which one will you actually want to carry every day?" This guide explains what every bottle has in common, how the colourways differ, and how to pick the right one for you or as a gift.

What every bottle in the range has in common

Each con-tatto® is a reusable, double-wall stainless steel bottle designed in Italy by our founder Francesco Avilia together with Sovrappensiero Design Studio in Milan. It is built from 3+1 layers of insulation – copper, 18/8 extra-durable stainless steel and steel 201 – which is why it keeps drinks cold for up to 25 hours and hot for up to 15 hours.

• Capacity: 17 oz / 500 ml
• Size: 210 mm tall, 70 mm diameter – a little shorter and wider than the average insulated bottle, so it is easy to grip and fits most bags
• Wide mouth: 44 mm opening for ice cubes, loose-leaf tea and easy cleaning
• Weight: 250 g empty
• Safe materials: 100% BPA-free, phthalate-free and toxin-free; suitable for acidic and carbonated drinks; it does not retain or pass on flavours
• Everyday details: sweat-free outer wall (no condensation on your desk), stainless steel lid with a leak-proof silicone seal, and a silicone base that stops metallic knocking noises

Most colourways come as a limited-edition bundle with the 500 ml bottle, a cap with string, a quick-opening sport cap and a silicone band, packed in an exclusive box.

Solid colours or patterns?

The collection is split into two families, and each has its own page if you want to narrow things down:

• Color Lovers – clean two-tone colour mixes with a soft-touch finish, such as Just White, Black Hole, Red Alert, In the Navy, Teal Time or Nudeaholic. They are the easiest to match with any outfit and the most popular choice for gifts.
• Pattern Lovers – printed designs inspired by marble, minerals, nature and travel, such as Pink Marble, White & Gold, Hypnosis, Walnut, Camo or Tropical Night. Pick one of these if you want your bottle to be noticed.

Which colour mix suits you?

A few simple questions usually settle it:

• Where will you use it most? For the office or meetings, discreet mixes such as Black Hole, In the Middle or Steel work well. For the gym, beach or travel, brighter options like Amalfi Lemon, Bubble Gum or Sky High are easier to spot in a bag.
• Do you want it to match other things? Many colourways have a matching Urban Cap, so you can coordinate or contrast the cap with the bottle.
• Is it a gift? Classic mixes are the safest choice. If you know the person's taste, a pattern feels more personal – or go one step further with a custom bottle with their name.

Keep your bottle looking new

Frequently asked questions

How long does a con-tatto® bottle keep drinks cold or hot?

Up to 25 hours cold and up to 15 hours hot, thanks to its 3+1 layers of insulation. Pre-chilling or pre-heating the bottle with a little water before filling it helps you get the most out of it.

Can I put fizzy drinks, juice or tea in it?

Yes. The bottle is suitable for acidic and carbonated drinks, and the wide 44 mm mouth makes it easy to brew tea or add ice cubes. It does not retain or pass on flavours, so you can switch between drinks.

Is the bottle dishwasher safe?
